Comfort 101

Today is Monday. I have been calling heating services since last Friday, to no avail. Comfort 101 was recommended to me this morning. I called and D.J. came out this afternoon and fixed my unit. We had a GREAT experience with Comfort 101. DJ was able to come out the very next day after I talked to him. He is fair, honest, and knowledgeable. We needed a lot done between repairs of things that weren’t done correctly the first time, new ducts, and cleaning. I recommend Comfort 101 to anyone. This young man, is very honest, helpful and will go out of his way to help. If it was not for Comfort 101, I would have been paying for several thousand dollars for a compressor that was still under warranty. I purchase AC from ARS in 2016 and ARS and purchase their service agreement for 25 dollars a month and the service agreement was for my AC unit to be service twice a year. Well somehow my compressor went out about a week ago and ARS said they could replace my compressor for 3500 dollars and not informing me the compressor was still under warranty. If it was not for Comfort 101, I would still be without AC. This young man only charged me for the freon and changed the compressor for me free. See more See less

I admit I was hesitant to hire this young man, Dwayne Williard. I’m so glad I did. He was very knowledgeable about the HVAC Unit & Nest thermostat, which I was ready to tear it out. I went through Thumbtack and found Comfort 101. I needed a thermostat replaced as I had a Nest that I hated. I put out an email around 8:30 am and by 10"30-11am he was here replacing that stupid thermostat! I can’t say enough good things about Dwayne Williard at Comfort 101. We were given an invoice for $3,447.80 for a compressor/refrigerant replacement, then told it would be another $3,000 to repair a reversing valve — and ultimately advised to just replace the whole system for $14k–$18k. That didn’t sit right with me, so I called Dwayne for a second opinion. He showed up the very next morning at exactly the time he promised (10 AM), and within minutes found the real issue: reversed wiring and a disconnected breaker. He was transparent about what he saw, thoughtful in explaining it, and had it fixed in under an hour. The system has worked perfectly ever since. Instead of THOUSANDS of dollars, the actual fix was $234. That speaks volumes about Dwayne’s honesty, skill, and professionalism. He’s an All-Star, and I would highly recommend him to anyone needing HVAC help. See more See less
